I knew we were in for a treat when the board of two quenelled flavored butters, a little pot of dipping deliciousness and the offerings of home made breads arrived. The smoked eel starter was outstanding, as was the fish of the sea (yesterday’s catch was sea bass)… delicate, cooked to perfection, the accompanying rice bursting with the freshest of sea flavors. The wine recommendation, a 2022 bottle of Arinto dos Açores from António Macanita… floral with a little sea spray… couldn’t have been a better pairing. The service was knowledgeable yet friendly. The ambience warm yet super cool. On our ext visit to the area, I would stay in Aveiro just to visit this superb place again. Top notch in every way.
