Second Visit to Bali - This Article is All You Need!
🏖️ Bali boasts first-class beaches, first-class islands, and first-class breathtaking scenery. If you must visit one island in your lifetime, this is the place to go~ Below, I'll share my strategy for a second free-and-easy trip.
📖 Itinerary:
Day1: Chengdu to Singapore🇸🇬 (4 hours by plane) Transfer flights are cheaper, and you can either have a travel agency handle the entry and exit procedures or sort it out online in advance. Group visas seem to cost over two hundred yuan (as per the travel agency we used). Remember to bring your passport and exchange currency in advance, as airport rates are low and fees are high; arrive three hours early for international flights, Tianfu International Airport is really huge!
Day2: A day tour of Singapore's city center, where you can visit the iconic Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands (these two attractions are quite close to each other); Changi Airport has a 40-meter vertical waterfall, designed by a Feng Shui master, worth visiting for some good luck (accessible via an underground passage from T1, direct passages from T2T3, and by skytrain or airport bus from T4).
Day3: Check into a Bali hotel (Indonesia · Ba Tang · Royal Tulip Springhill Resort - Jimbaran Royal Tulip Springhill Resort - Jimbaran, Ba Tang 80363, Indonesia) This hotel is a villa type, with a swimming pool, afternoon tea, forest yoga, laundry room, etc. It's recommended to rest at the hotel for a bit, the environment is great and relaxing, and in the evening you can order a cocktail and listen to music.
Day4: Jimbaran Beach🏖️ The commercial scene here is quite complete, you can find some popular restaurants to dine and enjoy afternoon tea; you can also swim, and you must watch the sunset in the evening, the beach and the sea at sunset are very healing.
Day5: Mount Agung🌋 If you are proficient in English, you can book a one-day volcano tour on various platforms. The tour will include a local guide, who speaks English, will help you navigate through the attractions around the volcano, and can assist with queuing and carrying bags, etc. It's very safe and you get to see a lot of sights. If you think the guide's service is good, you can give a tip, they are really honest people.
Day6: Going out to sea🚢 Check the weather, but it's recommended to book a one-day sea outing that includes 4 diving spots, also with an English-speaking guide. You can bring your own snorkeling gear or use the ones provided on the boat; it's not recommended to buy your own boat ticket to go there, as it's easy to get scammed if you don't speak the language.
Day7: Fairy Falls; you must visit this place, although it's an internet-famous spot, it's truly worthy of being featured in National Geographic! It's super beautiful for photos and very photogenic, it's a free attraction, but be careful, there are no safety measures on the edge of the cliffs, it's easy to fall off! The drive from our hotel to this spot is long, be sure to use sunscreen and buy some water to prepare, as it's easy to get heatstroke!
Day8: Free time Rest
Day9: Bali to Singapore; Singapore to Chengdu
✏️ Practical Tips:
1. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! I can't stress this enough!
2. Protect against mosquito bites.
3. Don't go alone, it's best to travel with others.
4. Carry medicine for stomach and inflammation, it's hard to buy locally if you get sick.
5. If you're riding a motorcycle, make sure you have an international driver's license and are accustomed to driving.
6. Bring a plug adapter.
7. For transportation, you can use Grab, it's quite cheap and very safe.
The Agung volcano, known as the "Belly button of the world", is an active volcano in eastern Bali, Indonesia, the highest peak in Bali and is regarded by locals as a holy mountain. The sunrise and sunset here are spectacular, but the climbing is difficult and suitable for experienced mountaineers. The Bali people consider the mountain to be the "center of the world" and each temple in Bali has a god-sacrifice to the mountain. The residents make sacrifices to the temple and crematoriums to show their respect for the mountain. The main temple in Bali, Prabash Shaji, is built on the slopes of Mount Agung, the latest violent eruption in 1963, killing about 1,600 people and leaving 86,000 homeless. Climbing Mount Agung is not easy, it is more difficult to reach the top of the mountain, you need to be colder and fully prepared, it is best to guide. In addition, the altitude is high, the climate is cold, and it will rain from time to time. You need to bring clothes to protect against cold and rain.
The car from Denpasar all the way to the northeast, with the altitude gradually rising, the outdoor temperature is gradually lowering, a huge cone mountain is hiding behind the thick clouds, that is, the 3,142 meters altitude of the Argonne volcano, every 50 years or so will have a violent eruption, The last violent eruption, according to the guide, occurred in 1963, when ash was up to 4,000 meters high and was regarded by locals as a mountain of gods
Agon volcano is not dead volcano, it is also very memorable attraction, we did not go hiking, just look at it from a distance, if you come to the terraces, you can see this famous volcano
For the Balinese, Mount Agung is considered a sacred place as well as purified. Moreover, on these mountains there is also the Besakih Temple, which is one of the most important temples according to Hindus in Bali.
tough hike. but worth every effort!!
Bali is a volcanic island, and today's itinerary has arranged for the Argonne volcano, which is the highest peak in Bali (3142 meters above sea level). From noon to the foot of the mountain, the mountain top is covered with clouds and fog. The road stretches from the foot of the mountain to the mountainside. The higher the gradient, the more the motorcycle throttle is screwed to the end, the car will be skidded. Indonesians and Thais do not seem to be good at repairing Panshan Road. There is still an hour's walk from the end of the road to the top of the mountain.
Today, I came to the Agon volcano in Bali. After listening to the introduction of the earth guide, I learned something about it. Agon volcano is an active volcano located in the eastern part of Bali, Indonesia. It is 3142 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in Bali and is regarded as a sacred mountain by the local people. The eruption cycle is about 50 years. The most recent violent eruption occurred in 1963, when ash erupted as high as 4,000 meters, resulting in 1,500 deaths.
