Practically perfect in every way. Rustic decor and food, large portions, reasonable prices. Just a few minute walk from the center of Bruges, and the crowds were gone. Loved every minute of our dinner here.

Oud Handbogenhof

We loved the food and also liked the wine, although our glasses sat empty from time to time. We liked our table on the mezzanine very much, with views over the whole restaurant and also the illuminated Belfort through the window. Service was charming but perhaps too busy to be fully attentive to us and we had to ask for the bill three times at the end of the night, which was a bit wearisome.

This is a rural restaurant with a strong flavor, the dishes are very fresh, and the cooking is also good, very good.

Enjoying food in the old buildings is a wonderful feeling.

Love waffles children pay attention, to knock on the blackboard, really delicious oh, not too sweet.

We booked for three people for an evening. The restaurant is off the beaten path and does not disappoint. It is nicely decorated, service is lovely and the food was great ! We will definitely come back there for our next visit to Bruges.

This restaurant had a lovely ambience, first class hosting and excellent food. Seemed truly authentici n a lovely setting. For visitors,  would highly recommend.

This charming restaurant offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The welcome is warm and sincere and the service friendly and attentive. The varied menu offers something for everyone - although vegetarian options are limited, as they are throughout the city. We loved the cheese and shrimp croquettes, the fresh bread served in a paper bag, and the cr&egrave;me brul&eacute;e. The house wine was also very good, as was the coffee. Prices are a bit steep but you are paying for a uniquely personal service as much as the food. We would definitely recommend for a quiet, intimate experience.
