JOJO’s wonderful trip.

Cappadocia, because it is located in a remote mountainous area, has a strange and desolate landscape and has always been a refuge for religious struggles. The early Roman Empire promoted polytheism and brutally suppressed Christianity that rose in the Palestinian territories at the beginning of the epoch. At that time, the first believers of Jesus Christ, represented by the famous apostle St. Paul, left Jerusalem and came to Cappadocia, where the terrain was in danger, suitable for hiding, the establishment of the first Christian district of Asia Minor, and the construction of the church. At the beginning of the 4th century AD, widely spread Christianity formed a powerful political force. Emperor Constantine and his successor, Theodosius, realized that Christianity was an emerging force that could be used to consolidate imperial rule. Therefore, they changed their policies, first to declare freedom of religious belief, and then to define Christianity as the state religion. The most concentrated in the Cappadocia Cave Church is the Goreme Open Air Museum, which condenses the nature, history and humanities of Cappadocia and brings together more than 30 cave churches and monasteries of different sizes. These churches were originally built by Christians who migrated to Cappadocia by avoiding political persecution. In order to hide their eyes and ears, they hollowed out the mountain to build a church, and the interior was engraved with colorful murals. The famous churches include Apple Church, Santa Barbara Chapel, Snake Church, Dark Church, Tokali Church and many more. I only read the introduction in the book before, and I am looking forward to coming to Goreme to explore these cave churches 2000 years ago and appreciate the artwork of God.

Göreme Open Air Museum
One of the world's most beautiful towns, Turkey's Göreme town. Göreme is located in eastern Turkey, the westernmost point of the Asian continent, with unique landforms in the Cappadocia region, specifically in the province of Nevşehir in central Anatolia. Around the 14th century BC, the Hittite people lived here by carving caves, and the Hittite kingdom was once the most powerful country in western Asia. Göreme is a small town running north and south. It takes only half an hour to walk back and forth in the bustling area at the center of the town. Various small shops are scattered along the road, selling everything from cushion covers, felt hats, old doorbells, fridge magnets, postcards, to spinning begging bowls of monks. Whatever souvenir you want, you can find it here. The volcanic ash in Greyme has been weathered and eroded by rainwater for millions of years, forming countless strange rock formations that resemble both needle mushrooms and skinny chimneys, known as "fairy chimneys". In these seemingly barren cliffs, there are countless rock-cut churches, cave dwellings, and underground city ruins hidden. /Göreme's open-air museum is located in a valley, condensed with the characteristics and scenery of Cappadocia. It was once a gathering place for Christians after the 9th century. Many Christians took refuge in these caves, leaving murals on the walls and decorating the caves into churches. The walls of the caves still retain the images of characters from the Bible to this day, faintly discernible. /Attention! Introduce the super popular internet-famous carpet store, also the largest one in the town. It's very close to "Meihua Chinese Restaurant". From afar, you can see all kinds of beautiful carpets hanging at their door. It's even more amazing inside the store.
