Biel Moments: Through Travelers' Eyes

Road Trip in Switzerland: Chill Out at a Sheep Farm Along the Biel / Pieterlen / Lengnau Route
Perfect for road trip enthusiasts who love a slow-paced, nature-filled journey! If you're driving between Biel/Bienne, Pieterlen, Lengnau, and Meinisberg in the Bern Canton of Switzerland, we highly recommend adding this route to your itinerary.

The scenery along this route will make you want to stop immediately: vast expanses of lush green meadows teeming with adorable sheep grazing peacefully, set against the backdrop of the Jura Mountains and charming Swiss farmhouses. Especially during spring, when the yellow dandelions are in bloom, every photo angle will be postcard-perfect.

📌 Location & Travel Recommendations
Location/Route: The farm is located at a roundabout connecting the highways of Biel, Meinisberg, Pieterlen, and Lengnau (the blue roundabout sign is very easy to spot).
Access: Ideal for a road trip. There are small field paths next to the farms where you can walk down and take photos with the meadows and sheep up close.
Atmosphere: Very quiet and natural. The panoramic view of the mountains stretching out is very pleasing to the eye.

⚠️ Traffic Rules & Parking Precautions (Very Important!)
Stopping on the Roadside: According to Swiss law, parking on main roads outside of towns is prohibited. However, you can stop temporarily to take photos, provided it's not a no-stopping zone (no yellow lines or signs prohibiting parking).
Safe Parking Spots: You must use your turn signal, pull over to the side of the road/shoulder to avoid obstructing the view of other vehicles, and absolutely do not block the entrance/exit to the farmers' agricultural areas.
Approaching Livestock: The farm is fenced for safety. Maintain a safe distance and take photos of the sheep from outside the fence. Please do not cross the fence or feed the animals without permission.
