It’s always Sydney to Cairns this or Melbourne to Brisbane that, but never let’s drive from Broome to Perth! I’m not gonna lie, I had a great time on my East Coast road trip, but I just didn’t find much of it that special. Sure the Whitsundays are iconic and there are some awesome hikes in the rainforest. But everything was kind of the same. The further West I headed the better it got. I loved the Northern Territory. The Kimberley was insane. Then came the Broome to Perth leg of the trip which was just breathtaking. Starting with Karijini, one of the most iconic National Parks, and for good reason. Then the Ningaloo Coast. I’ve never seen so many turtles, sharks, and dolphins in my life (and I’ve seen a lot of them!!) The rest of the road trip down is just nature throwing curveballs the whole way: a beach made of sea shells, Nature’s Window, a pink lake, and then the pinnacles. Perth itself was amazing too. And the quokkas, don’t forget about the quokkas. If you’re going to road trip Australia, make sure you pick the right side ;) #westernaustralia #whereslucas#easytravelpost
