🇵🇹 Ponta da Piedade | Lagos, Portugal 🌊💙 Another stunning seaside viewpoint in Portugal that will make you stop and admire it. Ponta da Piedade is located in Lagos, in southern Portugal, in the Algarve region. It's famous for its golden cliffs and uniquely shaped rock formations scattered across the sea. Some are towering structures, while others are smaller rock peaks, eroded by the sea into beautiful natural shapes. What makes this place so special is the gradient of color from clear blue to deep blue. Looking down from the top of the cliffs, you can see white waves crashing against the rocks below, contrasting beautifully with the golden yellow of the cliffs – a scene so stunning you barely need any editing in photos! 📸 There are several walking paths and viewpoints along the cliff face, allowing you to stroll along and enjoy the scenery. Each spot offers a different perspective; some show rocks standing in the sea, while others reveal the long stretch of cliffs extending into the distance. On a clear day with good weather, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Another thing I love is the atmosphere of the sea here; it's not just the beauty of the water. But there's also the sound of the waves, the wind, and the grandeur of nature that makes you want to spend a long time there. If you're planning a trip to Lagos, I recommend adding Ponta da Piedade to your list, especially during the morning or evening when the sunlight hits the cliffs, showcasing the beautiful colors of the rocks. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be careful around the edge of the cliff. It's another incredibly charming place in Portugal. ₦4,000 (US$3) for suya? What is suya even? And why “university”? I genuinely thought it was a school! Turns out the University of Suya is one of Lagos’ most famous suya spots, where people line up for freshly grilled beef covered in a mix of spices, onions, and pepper. I paid about US$3 for my meal, and I completely understand why locals kept recommending this barbecue street food spot in Lagos.
