Check in at Lindau (Bodensee), cross the historic bridge, and then relax on a red bench by the lake – a haven for three countries! 🌊✨
If you're visiting the old town of Lindau, start at Europaplatz and walk across the Landtorbrücke bridge. This bridge is 160 meters long and has a history dating back to the 14th century. The atmosphere along the bridge is beautiful and peaceful. 🏰
Once you've crossed, we recommend walking along the riverside promenade under the shade of large trees and then resting your eyes on one of the signature cute red benches by the water! Enjoy the cool breeze. Looking out, you can see the crystal-clear waters of Lake Constance (Bodensee), a large lake spanning three countries (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria). On clear days, you can even see the distant Alpine mountains. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and healing. A must-see for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts! 📸💖🇩🇪

[Mother & Daughter DIY World Tour] #17 Lindau: A Picture-Book Island Town
母娘世界一周旅中
Lindau, located in southwestern Bavaria, Germany, sits on the eastern shore of Lake Constance, bordering Austria and Switzerland. With a population of approximately 26,000, it is one of Germany's most famous lakeside cities. Its historic old town, built on a small island in the lake and connected to the mainland by bridges and railways, is known as the "Pearl of Lake Constance." Lindau was first mentioned in 9th-century documents and became a free city of the Holy Roman Empire in 1275, flourishing thanks to its lakeside shipping and trade. The port entrance features a 36-meter-high lighthouse and a statue of the Bavarian Lion, forming the city's most iconic landmark. The old town preserves numerous medieval and Renaissance buildings, among which the Old Town Hall is famous for its exquisite painted facade, and the Manger Tower is a 13th-century defensive tower. The annual Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings attract scientists from around the world, giving this historic city both profound cultural heritage and international influence.
