Lvliang Travel Guide

Lüliang is situated in mid-western Shanxi province. It is named after the Lüliang mountains that surround the city. Famous attractions include Mount Beiwudang, one of northern China's most famous Taoist holy mountains. The mountain is known for its unique granite rock formations. The area was also an important Communist base during the Civil War and is home to a museum about the Communist Party heroine Liu Hulan.
