Meihekou Travel Guide
Meihekou City (梅河口市) is located in the southeast of Jilin Province in the north of Tonghua City. It stands at the western foot of the Changbai Mountains at the upper reaches of the Huifa River within the transition zone between the Songliao Plain and the Changbai Mountain region. Meihekou is an important transportation hub for Southeast Jilin and for Northeast China as a whole. It is an important center for commerce and logistics, with a concentration of coal production facilities. Famous scenic spots include Jiguan Mountain, Wukui Mountain, Mopan Lake, Longquan Temple and the Jurchen Cliffside Carvings.
