How to get to Otaru from Asahikawa?
There is no direct bus from Asahikawa to Otaru and a transfer is required. 2 If you are sitting in JR, you should also take the Sapporo transfer. Any express service from Asahikawa to Sapporo can be taken, and you can get off at Sapporo and transfer to the Hakodate Main Line or JR Express isikari liner or JR Express Airport to Otaru. The whole journey is more than 2 hours, 5040 yen.
