Going to Kangxiwa is not just a trip; it is a test of both body and will. There are no comfortable cable cars here, only winding mountain roads.

1. Location and Transportation
· Coordinates: Setula Town, Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, deep in the Karakoram Mountains.
· Route: Usually depart from Yecheng County, following the famous Xinjiang-Tibet Highway (National Highway G219).
· Distance: About 430 kilometers from Yecheng to the cemetery, taking 8-10 hours by car.
· Road conditions: Fully paved, but the mountain roads are rugged with countless hairpin turns, crossing three mountain passes, the highest near 5,000 meters. It is recommended to drive an off-road vehicle or SUV; beginners should be cautious! 🚗
