Traveling inside Peleș Castle is like reading a thick book, with hidden stories and symbols uncovered as you delve deeper into it. As we reach the final section of the castle, we encounter a room that clearly reveals the vision and spirit of its creator.

Before reaching the final room, we pass through a white hallway filled with intricate stuccowork. Entering the dining room, we encounter a long wooden table and carved cabinets, not merely for banqueting, but also symbols of government administration and diplomacy. Small details, such as the carved lion-headed pedestal and the intricately designed barometer, are not merely aesthetically pleasing; they are also a "language of power" communicated through the architecture and the careful arrangement of every element.

In the next room, we find Middle Eastern furnishings, including Persian rugs, brass lamps, and exquisitely arranged Arabian armor, reflecting European perspectives on the Orient at that time. While they may appear as beautiful works of art, they also serve as a mirror reflecting the "attitude of their owners."

The final section of Peleș Castle is not just the end of a corridor, but a "spiritual culmination" of all that the castle has to offer. From the white hall, which resembles a time tunnel, to the dining room filled with symbols of power, to the Oriental Art Gallery, which tells the story of cultural exchange.
Peleș Castle, which took over 40 years to build, was not just a summer residence, but a "model of a new Romania," intended by King Carol I as a state standing tall in Europe, merging art and science. This made it one of the first castles in Europe to have utilities like electricity and an elevator.

The theme of this itinerary is “Through the Romanian Middle Ages”, which is perfect for those who love history, castles and European town atmosphere. From Bucharest, you can easily play around Perez Castle, Bran Castle (Dracula Castle) and Sigishwara. The scenery is beautiful all the way, and you can feel the life and legendary stories of the old aristocrats along the way!

Trip Route Recommendation:
Day 1: Departure from Bucharest → Château de Hinaia Peres → Château de Brendguella
Day 2: In-depth exploration of the medieval town of Sigishwara

Castle of Peres (Aleea Peleșului 2, Sinaia 106100 Romania)
It is recommended to go early in the morning, the castle looks gorgeous, blends a variety of European architectural styles, and houses precious artworks inside. The scenery around the castle is quiet, perfect for taking pictures. Open year-round, only Monday and Tuesday 09:15-17:00 (tickets stop at 15:35, entry stops at 16:00), Thursday to Sunday 10:00-17:00. Tickets 255 yuan (Lei, Romania).
Tip: Try to avoid Mondays and Tuesdays and keep an eye on last entry times, the castle requires walking stairs and some places are not suitable for large luggage.

Bran Castle (Strada General Traian Moșoiu 24, Bran 5070 25 Romania)
Also known as Dracula’s Castle, it’s most attractive for its mystery, with the castle exterior and interior recreating vampire lore scenes. The museum displays medieval weapons, furniture and historical materials, and the atmosphere carries a sense of mystery. April 1 to October 31, Monday 12:00-19:00, Tuesday to Sunday 09:00-19:00; Tickets 238 yuan (Lei, Romania).
Tip: It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance to save time in line. Castle stairs more, be careful to wear comfortable shoes. There are tours in the museum, and those who want to learn more about the legend of Dracula can attend.

Sighişoara
The next day is recommended to play the town of Sigishwara, where medieval architecture is very well preserved. The town center colorful cottages, ancient pagodas, and slate streets are perfect for photography and strolling. You can visit Dracula’s birthplace, clock tower, and city walls, and slowly feel the charm of the ancient Romanian city.
