The Must-See: Riverside Ancient Village
Location: Taihe County, Ji’an City
Hours: Open all day, year round

Wander slow through cobblestone alleys, snap pics of stone bridges, and soak up truly local life—vendors sell snacks and handmade goods right on street corners. The village is not crowded, so you actually hear birds and river sounds (major plus for peaceful photos or chill time by the water). If you’re into history or just want a break from city buzz, the classic buildings and old-school atmosphere here are top-notch.

Traveler tip: Go early in the day! The morning fog makes the riverside look straight out of a painting, and you’ll have way fewer people in your photos. Bring some cash—lots of little shops don’t take cards.

Getting around: Buses from Taihe town get you there super cheap, or taxis if you want it easy (about 10–15 minutes from central Taihe). Wear comfy shoes—the main beauty is on foot.
