Yichun Moments: Through Travelers' Eyes

Yichun's beauty speaks for itself, but its tourism development is extremely "raw," and there's a huge information gap! 😅 As a detail-oriented traveler who just got back, please save this "practical" guide to avoiding pitfalls—it's packed with useful tips! Highly recommend saving this. 🌟
🚗 1. The "counter-intuitive" truth about transport and accommodation
❌ Myth: Thinking it's easy to get a taxi once you arrive at Yichun Station.
✅ Truth: Attractions are extremely scattered! Chartering a car or carpooling is the only solution. Find a local driver who can also act as a guide; it's not expensive per person, and it doubles your happiness. For accommodation, be sure to choose the central areas of Wuying or Tangwanghe, and definitely make sure you have a humidifier, otherwise the forest air will dry you out in the middle of the night!
🌲 2. "Cheat codes" for core attractions
📍 Wuying Forest Park: Head straight to Songxiang Bridge after entering; this is where the essence of the Korean pine forest lies. The last train leaves early, so watch the time! I recommend buying a one-way ticket for the shuttle bus—walk in and take the bus out to save energy and see more scenery.
📍 Maolangou (the "Little Jiuzhaigou of the North"): Don't just take a photo at the entrance waterfall and leave! The real essence is in the second half, at Qingquan Pool and Fairy Pool; the further in you go, the fewer people there are. Be sure to walk to the viewing platform at the very bottom to take long-exposure shots of the flowing water. There are many stairs, so allow at least 3 hours.
📍 Tangwanghe Stone Forest: Don't just give it a cursory glance! Before you leave, search for photos of "Yixiantian" and "Buddha Peak" so you can have fun looking for these specific rocks. When it's crowded, you can take fun forced-perspective photos of yourself "touching" the rocks.
📍 Jiayin section: The border river cruise is a must (CNY 80, great value; the opposite bank is Russia). If you're traveling with kids or aren't interested in paleontology, you can skip the Dinosaur Park. Note: The cruise may be canceled due to high winds, so be sure to pick a nice day and go early!
🎒 3. Survival details for locals
Sun protection and mosquito defense: The UV rays in the forest are extremely strong, and the mosquitoes are vicious—don't be fooled by the shade!
Prepare motion sickness medicine + stomach medicine: There are many winding mountain roads, and Northeast Chinese cuisine can be oily—these are essential for survival.
Dry/wet separation bag: Accommodation quality varies, so bring your own toiletries. A dry/wet bag is super convenient for storing wet towels.
👇 Summary: Yichun needs to be experienced with a calm heart. Don't rush your itinerary—go into the forest and listen to the sound of the pines! 🌲
