O'Connell Bridge

In the early 20th century, a surge of nationalist ideas in Ireland was proposed to rename Sackville Street to O'Connell Street (O'Connell), but the proposal was not accepted at the time.

The O'Cornell Monument was built in memory of Daniel O'Cornell, the 19th century Irish national leader, and the street was named after him. The O'Connell Bridge across the Liffey River opposite the O'Connell Monument is naturally named after him. The bridge links O'Cornell Avenue with D&39; Olier Avenue and docks. It was built in 1794 and named O'Cornell Bridge in 1880. When we went, the streets and bridges were under renovation and construction, so they looked so messy that the whole picture of the bridge could not be seen clearly. The middle part of the second and third pictures was the middle of the bridge deck. The fourth and fifth pictures were taken on the two sides of the bridge, the Lifei River and the distant bridge.

O'CONNELL BRIDGE, which stands on the Liffey River in downtown Dublin, was built in 1794 and named after it in 1880. It should be said that this is the most important bridge on the Liffey River. Crossing this bridge is O'Cornell Street, where the famous old post office, Bright Column and Pedestrian Street are located. Busy traffic on the bridge, double-decker red tourist buses, including several buses to the airport, are crowded with visitors at noon. Nowadays, many streets in Dublin are being built on both sides of bridges and roads. It is said that the construction of trams has been restored.

They say that they will always be together after walking along the bridge with their partners. They are very happy. Every time they walk over the bridge, they can feel more cars.
