Photos of Songhua River Railway Bridge

The Songhua River Railway Bridge is located on the banks of the Songhua River. It is not only a well-known railway bridge on the Songhua River, but also the first cross-river bridge in Harbin. Although the now decommissioned bridge no longer has the shocking scene of the train roaring, the figure of the bridge is still very charming, especially under the sunset. The Songhua River Railway Bridge, also known as the Songhua River Binzhou Railway Bridge, is a cross-river bridge on the Songhua River by the Middle East Railway that traverses the Eurasian continent. The bridge was designed and supervised by Russian bridge experts. The Songhua River Railway Bridge was built in May 1900 and put into use in October 1901. The bridge has a total of 19 holes, a width of 7.2 meters and a total length of about 1015 meters. Due to the opening of the new Songhua River Super Bridge and the general speed line of the Songhua River Bridge, the Songhua River Railway Bridge, which has been with Harbin for 113 years, was also decommissioned in 2014. People will no longer see the sight of trains passing over the bridge.
