Photos of Sifang Street Square

The Sifang Street Square is located at the center of Lijiang Old Town. This rectangular square was the start of the Tea Horse Road and the business hub of northwestern Yunnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This was the once hustling and bustling center of downtown Lijiang. Nearby there are many shops, restaurants, pub streets and places to visit. It's one of the old city's most famous landmarks. During the day, visitors stroll leisurely and locals gather to meet with friends. At night, this place comes alive with impromptu performances by local folk singers.
