Zhongshan Mountain National Park towers in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing. It is also known as Purple Mountain. The national park consists of ridges and hills that run from west to east, covering a total area of 31 square kilometers and holding over 200 scenic spots. Three of the important sites nearby include the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the Tomb of Ming Emperor Hongwu and Linggu (Spirit Valley) Temple. Zhongshan Mountain is a moment of quiet solace for the soul.
