San Sebastian Church is a Gothic church, arguably the most beautiful church in Negombo, and the largest building in Negombo. The chances of getting a local person to get married here are very high. When we went, we were lucky enough to see it. This Gothic church is located on Sea St., the most beautiful church in Negombo. It was laid on February 2, 1936 by the then Archbishop of Colombo, Peter Mackay. The ceremony, designed by the priest G. Gannon, was originally built to completely resemble the French Reims Cathedral. Later, due to insufficient funds, the ritual had to be lowered. Although it can't be compared with the magnificent churches in Europe, if you see the local people praying in the church, you can still feel the power of faith, regardless of national boundaries. The locals are very friendly, and even those who attend the wedding ceremony will invite you to join.
