It was closed by the Nazis until it reopened in 1942. The Old Jewish Cemetery The Old Jewish Cemetery is the oldest existing Jewish cemetery in Europe, with more than 10,000 tombstones from the 15th to the 18th century. One of the oldest tombs belongs to the tomb of Rabbi Prague and the poet Avig Kara in 1439.
