Photos of Vltava

The Vltava River is the mother river of the Czech Republic. It originates from the forests of southwestern Bohemia and joins the city of Mirnik in the north of the capital Prague and the Elbe River. The second symphonic poem in the Czech symphonic poem "My Motherland" is a picturesque scene depicting the river. The beautiful Vltava River divides Prague into two parts, with the Old Town and the New Town on the east bank and the Small Town on the west bank. There are more than a dozen ancient or modern bridges across the river, connecting the urban areas on both sides of the river. Among them, the Charles Bridge, which connects the old town and the small town of Prague, is decorated with various sculptures and reliefs on both sides of the bridge. You can stroll along the Vltava River and enjoy the scenery of the medieval city on both sides. Or take a cruise and see the beauty of Prague from a different angle. There are cruise boats along the river pier in the city center. The boat journey is usually about 1 hour. Along the way, you can overlook the Prague Castle, Rudolph Concert Hall and other iconic sights.
