The Marina Avenue is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The Marina Avenue is 8 km long and includes a children's play area, separate bike lanes and sidewalks, restaurants, cafes and Marina Beach. It forms a curve on the west side of Abu Dhabi's main island and is filled with bike lanes, fountains and park areas. Between 2002 and 2003, land was reclaimed from the ocean and the coastal road was expanded. In the process, some earlier landmarks were demolished. Some parts of the coastal road have a large amount of sand deposits, and this area is used as a public beach. Until the 1970s, Corniche was currently in the area of beaches, where unicorn dhows and ships were used to secure and transfer cargo or people. At that time, the Mina Zayed area had not been built.
