Whilst we have visited Bath on a number of occasions, previously we had never been to the American Museum at Claverton Manor. However, spending several days in the area, we took a short taxi journey out to the site. What a revelation and what a treat. Under, well organised covid regulations our tour was limited to a guided group of maximum six people, but our excellent guide covered all the main features. Additionally the exhibition area was full of fascinating costumes and the Orangery cafe provided us with early coffee and then a later lunch of tasty sandwiches with locally baked bread. In particular, the guided tour of the American museum whetted our appetite for a detailed enjoyment of the rooms and we will be back as soon as regulations allow. Highly recommended.
