Ancient South Gate Review

What better way than to end my time in Guilin by taking a walk in The Ancient South Gate. It was such a peaceful and pleasant walk although I ran into major foot traffic in certain spots. Nonetheless, I suggest going as one can sit on the rocks near the river

It is also an iconic building in Guilin. Several decades ago, the bustling area of Guilin was concentrated in Yangqiao and the ancient south gate. It has now been included in the management scope of the two rivers and four lakes scenic spots. The scenery is still very good. There is a library next to it. It has a historical feeling. The night view is beautiful.

Located in Guilin Lugu Lake Scenic Area, it is a better preserved ancient city wall and city building, and the night view is more beautiful. Nearby is the Guilin Library Lugu Lake Branch, and there are four major statues of the late Qing Dynasty in Guangxi. It is worth a visit to understand Guilin's cultural history.

Not far from the west of Yangqiao, the ancient banyan double bridge in front of the door has a very distinctive shape. It just forms a ring road, and the evening walking environment is very comfortable. Also known as "Banyan Gate", but the surrounding trees are shady, it should also be unable to find the real old trees planted in the Tang Dynasty. It's also the bridge of Huxin Island, the intersection of several passages, so it's very busy at night.
