New Zealand Arthur Pass National Park is located in the southern Alps in the middle of New Zealand's South Island. It was established in 1929 and covers an area of 944 square kilometers, at an altitude of 923 meters, and the pass is about 8 kilometers long. There are trails in the park for hiking activities, but tourists are only suitable for short distances to take pictures of the mountain glaciers and the flowing pebble ramp riverbed and nearby peaks.
