The Azugaramaya Temple is located in the south city of Colombo, in memory of the Indian Peacock Dynasty, the Ayuth king sent his son Morveda to Sri Lanka to promote Buddhism. The temple is a modern building built with Chinese assistance and Chinese tourists come here to see it. The temple has a variety of different postures and sizes of Buddha Sakyamuni statues, colorful, mainly red tone, Buddha statues are crowded, obviously with Indian style, indicating the mutual influence of local Buddhism and Hinduism. Many locals come to the temple to worship Buddha with flowers.
