Nice little house, cozy little street, boutiques and cafes, locals sitting on the street, playing children and lazy kittens. Everything is calm and harmonious. To truly understand a city, you should experience this kind of community. Recommended attractions: Red Umbrella Street, Greek Zheng Teaching Academy and Observation Deck, Ruins Street, Rainbow Steps.

In this area, you would find very colorful houses painted in different colors. you have to climb uphill and walk a lot so make sure you have good walking shoes on. it’s a very picturesque place as you walk along, you would find cute eating places too. oh and not to mention the cute and friendly street cats that loves to come to you for a pet or two. Definitely a must-see when you come to Istanbul

Barat is a residential area for Jews and some Europeans. Its architectural style will lead you to a colorful and different era, more European style than Islamic atmosphere.

I like it very much. It's a lovely literary town. I dreamed of living in such a place very early. The houses on both sides are very short, and I don't feel so stressed.
