The Bergen Maritime Museum was built in 1962 and is located in the center of the University of Bergen campus. The museum shows the history of shipping and the importance of the development of Bergen and even Norway. The exhibition hall contains a large number of model ships, including the Viking Viking ships, and a large number of paintings, marine war materials, marine archaeological discoveries and items related to the lives of the ship's crew.
