The museum's predecessor is the Rehe Provincial Antiquities Custodian prepared in 1949 and the Hebei Chengde Mountain Resort Museum established in 1956. It was opened to the public in 1956. It is the same as the Beijing Palace Museum and the Shenyang Palace Museum as the three major museums of Qing Dynasty history. ＂ Mountain Resort Museum ＂ has a rich collection, and opened the Qing Dynasty Imperial Ceramics Museum, the Pavilion, the Clock and Watch Hall, the hanging screen Hall, the Wubei Hall, the glassware Hall, the weaving embroidery Hall, the painting hall and the Qing Dynasty palaces, the secret history of the Qing Dynasty, the customs of the Qing Palace, Cixi Life Exhibition and Restoration Exhibition, such as Bo Jingcheng, Sizhi Bookstore, Yanbo Zhishuang, Cixi Live, etc., reproduce the life picture of Qing emperor outside the plug.

Chengde Mountain Resort Museum is the Qing Dynasty Palace History Museum in Chengde City, Hebei Province. It was the main area of the Qing Dynasty Kangxi, Qianlong and Jiaqing three generations of emperors stationed in the Bore River, dealing with military and political affairs, ceremonial banquets, and reading books and living and amusement. In addition to preserving the original cultural relics of the fine stone and Neolithic era, the museum also houses historical, ethnic, folk and revolutionary cultural relics. In 1994, the Mountain Resort Museum was named one of the top ten museums in the country. In the same year, it was listed as a major part of the Mountain Resort by the United Nations as a world historical and cultural heritage.
