The "cross-sectional mountain" is the most steep mountain in China, which can be described as "earth crack". The Eurasian plate and the Indian plate impact, with the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. The contraction of the two plates forms a gap, and then is deeply cut by the river, into the inscrutable snow mountain canyon. It also has a scientific name "the pore zone of the earth's breathing". Any traveler who has been to Yunnan, western Sichuan, and eastern Tibet will be deterred by its Xiongqi Mountains and rivers. Xu Xiake came here 400 years ago, and he couldn't help but worry about going back, and chose to return. Most of the mountains in China are east-west, and only the "cross-sectional mountains" are north-south. The name "Hengduan Mountains" originated from the late Qing Dynasty Jiangxi Gongsheng Huangqi mao material, when he from Sichuan to Yunnan, inspected the black water flow, because he saw the mountains between the Lancang River and the Nu River parallel, cross-blocking the road, so he got a "cross-block mountain" name. "Crossing the Cross-Broken Mountains" is a very difficult thing in ancient and modern times. Compared with Li Bai's "Martyrdom," the "Cross-Broken Mountains" directly isolated Tibet from the world in that era, and there is no literal description of this area. Deep earth cracks seriously hinder the development of Xikang's road, so several main roads from the interior to central Tibet take the less undulating northern Kunlun Mountain. However, with sweat and despair, the process of "crossing the Cross-Broken Mountains" is still wonderful. Western Tibet is as barren as Mars, while the eastern Hengduan Mountains have been known as the "rich land" since ancient times. Because the South Asian tropical pressure can flow north along the Lancang, Jinsha and Nu River valleys, the Hengduan Mountains are covered with dense virgin forests. The abundant rainfall brings a bumper crop harvest, and the farmland and villages can be seen in a slightly flat place. The kind of encounter, like breaking into a paradise, satisfies the illusion of "poetry and distance" in the impression. When I decided to “cross the Cross-Broken Mountains,” the discomfort on the road was immediately diluted by the beauty and the hunger of the camera, and became worthless. This reminds me of Mr. Yu Qiuyu's description of "Dunhuang", which is more imaged here: "No matter from which densely populated city to here, it is very far away, in the imaginable future, it can only be like this; it is reserved for beauty, it is hidden for wealth, It insists on making every pilgrim pay for the long journey the charm of "crossing the cross-broken mountains".
