The Hokkaido University Botanical Garden was established in 1886 and covers an area of 133,000 square meters, preserving the terrain completely 120 years ago. About 4,000 plants are planted in the park, especially the alpine botanical garden, the full northern country plants in the northern national herbarium are particularly worth visiting, and the northern national information room, the northern circle museum and other buildings listed as important cultural property are worth visiting.
