The Bürl platform is called the European balcony and is located on the banks of the Elbe River in Dresden. In the mid-16th century, it was a fortress, and when it was no longer needed, Friedrich August II gave the six hundred meters of land to the Prime Minister, Count Heinrich von Bruer, and it was transformed into a magnificent boulevard. Later, a large open-air platform, like a city wall, was built here, which people called the Blur platform, and opened to the people from 1814. Standing on the Blur platform, the Elbe Valley has a panoramic view. The Bührer platform is the best place to enjoy the Elbe Valley and is now the most popular place to relax in Dresden.
