Canal Museum Review

As an important city along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Liaocheng has its rationality to establish the "China Canal Culture Museum". The site is located at the north gate of the ancient city of the water, and it continues to be about one kilometer north. Visitors need to enter the museum from the west gate. The main exhibition hall is on the 3rd floor and there is also a part of the 4th floor. Habitually compare this museum with Yangzhou's "China Grand Canal Museum", the richness of the collection is obviously higher in Yangzhou. The layout of the exhibits is reasonable, but there is no explanation service, no electronic guide rental, and there is a lot of room for improvement in the service.

The museum has five floors, and the lobby on the first floor is a huge sand pan across the city of Liaocheng. It can fully understand the water in Liaocheng City, the water in the city, and the city's water dependency on the city style. The two theme exhibition halls of Canal Culture and Liaocheng History are concentrated on the second and third floors. The overall display of the China Canal Culture Museum in Liaocheng is entitled "Canal Promotes History, Canal Changes Life", and aims to collect, protect and study canal culture in an all-round and multi-angle manner, reflecting and displaying the ancient history, natural features and folk customs of the canal. After more than ten years of efforts, the Canal Museum started construction in 2002 and completed the main construction in 2004.
