The Cathedral of Sacatecas, a model of the perfect combination of Mexico's indigenous style and Christian style, has been destroyed by the civil war in the beautiful decoration of the neoclassical style, and has now disappeared. The church of Santo Domingo is simple in appearance. Inside are eight gold-made altar screens and precious 18th century paintings. The monastery of Guadalupe near Sacatecas is one of the most important monasteries in Mexico in the 18th century.
