Budapest City Park Budapest City Park, built in 1817, is the world's first artificially planned city center park and the largest park in Budapest. The park is located behind Budapest Heroes Square and is just across the artificial lake. The park covers an area of about 1 square kilometer, with hot springs, zoos, playgrounds and botanical gardens. It is a complex park suitable for all ages. There is an agricultural museum (Castles Juni Audi) in the park, which is a mix of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The Szechenyi hot springs in the park are more than 100 years old and consist of three large open-air public hot spring pools and dozens of characteristic indoor small pools. The park's artificial lake, summer boating, winter is a huge ice rink. There is also an open-air market in the park.
