Dapengsuo City, built in Ming Hongwu in 27 years (1394 AD), covers an area of about 110,000 square meters. It is a coastal defense military fortress in southern China during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has a history of more than 600 years to resist foreign aggression. Shenzhen is now known as "Pengcheng" from this. Dapeng Suocheng is a key cultural relics protection unit and patriotic education base in Guangdong Province. In 1996, a "Dapeng Ancient City Museum" was established with the purpose of cultural relics protection, historical research and tourism development.
