Langkawi is now practically packed with tourists, so the tranquil beaches of the past are now out of reach, but in some secluded places, a quiet public beach can be found. Pather Sky Rack Beach is such a place that it is a shocking place on the way to Dart and Andaman Hotel Resorts. There are enough parking spaces and nothing but a lonely shop. To get to the beach you have to climb down from some rocks, but the process is simple. After climbing down from the rocks you reach a place where you can hear waves and birdsong, not motorboats and noisy pop music. Volunteers are busy collecting garbage and keeping the beach clean as beer cans and plastic-packed "civilisation" arrives on this charming beach.
