Daxiangguo Temple, a famous Buddhist monastery in China, was built in Beiqi Tianbao for six years (555). In the first year of the Tang Dynasty (712), Tang Yuzong was given the name Daxiangguo Temple by commemorating his ascending to the throne by Xiangwang. During the Northern Song Dynasty, Xiangguo Temple was revered by the Royal Family and was expanded many times, and was damaged by war and water. Qing Kangxi was rebuilt in 1671. It was also renovated many times after that. In August 1992, Buddhist activities were resumed and buildings such as bells and drum towers were restored. The layout of the entire monastery is rigorous and spectacular. It was rated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction in 2002.
