Located in Sembulan, the Double Six Monument was erected on the site where a fatal plane crash happen on June 6, 1976 - hence the name. It was a very tragic time for Sabah as the airplane carried the fifth Chief Minister, Tun Mohd. Fuad Stephens and six other state ministers, killing everyone on board.
