East Mebon is a temple on the big circuit at Angkor near Pre Rup. From the roadside it doesn't look like much. That side is currently undergoing a lot of renovation. But from the sides and back it is very spectacular.

The sculpture at the East Mebon is varied and exceptional, including two-meter-high free-standing stone elephants at corners of the first and second tiers. The stairways of the tiered base are flanked by lions.

This temple was built in the mid 10th century by king Rajendravarman I dedicated to Hinduism. East Mebon Temple has five main towers built from brick, laterite, and stucco.

The East Mebon Temple is an ancient Khmer architectural structure located at the center of the East Baray and just about 1 kilometer from Pre Rub temple, approximately 15 kilometers from the Siem Reap city.

Dongmeiben Temple is very beautiful here. There are elephants in four corners. It must be great to see the sunset here. The beauty here is that it is not made of bluestone, but a large number of red earth, brick and sandstone, in the sun like a red flame, there is a kind of small and delicate beauty.
