The Ascension Cathedral of the Virgin of Estelgom is located at the commanding height of the mountaintop of Estelgom River. This church is the largest in Hungary, the second largest in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. It was the capital of Hungary from the 10th to 13th centuries AD, where the first king of Hungary was crowned. The church is 118 meters wide and 40 meters wide, and the top of the church is 100 meters high. The church is free to visit, and you can also pay to visit the dome, with a superb view over the Danube and the bridge not far away, and the city view of Estelgom. The church's tomb room is also available for an additional fee.
