Phoenix Mountain is located in the south of Shun'an Town, Tongling City, a national AAAA-level scenic area, Phoenix Mountain is a scenic area, consisting of Hengshan, Facing Mountain, Lingfeng Mountain, Tanshan, Jinshan and so on. The mountains and clear waters in the territory are beautiful and picturesque, and it is a household name in Tongling. As early as the Ming Dynasty "Jingtai" years, the poet Zhou Yu wrote "the mountain outside the mountain is high inserted for a long time, the stone side of the lonely well gathers the spring, the phoenix drink a thousand years later, there are still relics of the ancient legend" and other 16 "Phoenix Eight Views" group poems praised the Phoenix Mountain. The scenic spot was identified as a provincial scenic spot in 1998, and is now a national scenic spot. The main attractions are Phoenix Mountain Peony Garden, Acacia Tree, Dishui Cliff, Phoenix Rock, Jinniudong Ancient Mining Site, Jinyu Ancient Tree Famous Mu, Chenyu Tomb, Daming Temple (Wang Jinggong Shutang) and so on. Tongling Phoenix Mountain is famous for the "town of medicinal peony" in China and abroad, and is also a place to watch peony flowers. In the future, peony elements will be injected into urban and rural roads, public facilities, leisure places, shopping centers, architectural decorations, industrial accessories and other places, promote peony culture, highlight peony brands, and build peony cultural parks, peony avenues, peony museums as soon as possible, and improve the cultural spirit of the scenic spot. The ancient mining site of Jinniudong is the second officially opened to the outside world after the ancient copper site of Tonglushan, which is very important to study the history of metallurgy and cultural history of ancient China. Now the ancient mining site and its surrounding area of Jinniudong are comprehensively controlled, and copper culture tourism is vigorously developed, enriching and extending the connotation of copper culture. The Phoenix Mountain copper mine site is located in the Phoenix Mountain area of Tongling County, represented by Jinniudong Ancient Mining Area, Wanyingshan Ancient Smelting Area and Dalian Refining Slag in Luojia Village on the Suburb. Among them, the ancient mining area of Jinniudong excavated ancient mining shafts, flat alleys, slope wells and many production tools, and it was identified that the span of the period was from Spring and Autumn to the West Han Dynasty. The discovery of the Dagongshan-Phoenix Mountain copper mine site not only provides important clues and physical evidence for the search for the famous "Danyang copper" origin in China's history, but also for exploring the origin and development of bronze civilization in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China, and studying ancient mining in China. The historical progress of metallurgical technology and the socio-economic aspects of the time provided rich physical information. The site of Dagongshan-Phoenix Mountain copper mine has obvious characteristics, namely mining and smelting coexist, and most of the mining sites are very close to the smelting field. For example, Jiangmu Chong Smelter is only 2 kilometers away from the mining site on the mountain, and Wanyingshan Smelter is also close to the mining sites such as Jinniu Cave, Yaoyuan Mountain and Tiger Mountain. The nearby smelting can reduce the difficulty of transporting ore. From the perspective of mining relics, miners' mining methods are mainly dew mining and well mining. Exploiting ore closer to the surface is used to dew mining, that is, using the "hole mining method" to dig "chicken nest mining" to uncover the surface mining. Deeper ore mining requires well mining, supported by wooden derricks, excavated shafts and horizontal wells deep underground mining. The mining tools and fuel relics unearthed from the copper site can clearly show the development process of ancient copper mining smelting technology. The mining tools and living tools of the craftsmen have bronze foil, iron drill, stone balls, wooden rods, wooden tracks, celadon bowls, sand-cock pottery, geometric print pottery, original celadonware, etc. The main fuel has gradually evolved from charcoal to coal.
