After the departure of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the left-behind personnel and the Jianping County Government (renamed Pingshan County in 1958) handed over the things left by the central organs. In order to protect revolutionary sites and cultural relics, in 1955, the Hebei Provincial Museum jointly established the preparatory office of Xibaipo Memorial Hall. In 1958, the former site of the CPC Central Committee was relocated due to the construction of the Gangnan Reservoir. Starting in December 1970, the relocation construction was carried out in a place 500 meters north of the original site and 57 meters above sea level. On March 11, 1982, the State Council announced that the former site of the CPC Central Committee in Xibaipo was a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. On May 1, 1987, a monument of cultural relics protected area was established, and the cultural relics protected area was delimited 391800 square meters, and the nature protected area 1333200 square meters.

＂ The former site of the Central Committee of Xibaipo ＂ is located in Xibaipo Village, Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. May 26, 1948 ～ March 23, 1949, it is the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People's Liberation Army. Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, etc. commanded the three major battles of Liaoshen, Huaihai and Pingjin. On March 5, 1949, the Chinese Communist Party held a major Seventh Plenary Session of the Second Central Committee of the Seventh Central Committee in Xibaipo. Mao Zedong put forward important ideas such as ＂ and two must be ＂ at the meeting. Becoming a political requirement that generations of Communists have always adhered to. On March 23, 1949, the CPC Central Committee left Xibaipo and went to Beiping. ＂ The former site of the CPC Central Committee in Xibaipo ＂ reproduces the hard years of the old revolutionaries in Xibaipo, and sings the great achievements of the leaders here for the foundation of new China. The old site was officially opened in 1971.

After leaving Yan'an, the CPC Central Committee first transferred to Xibaipo for office and life. It is located in the junction of Taihang Mountain and North China Plain. The transportation is convenient. The old site is composed of several groups of adobe houses, which are very simple and free for tourists.
