Guangxi Provincial Art Museum is located at No. 15 Jiefang West Road, Xiufeng District, Guilin City. There is a bus stop here and the transportation is convenient. When I arrived in Guilin on the first day, I just got off the bus and saw an old red building across the road. It was a red brick and wooden structure, which was very charming. After asking Tu and Cha Du Niang, I learned that this was organized and built by Ouyang Yu Qianqian, a famous dramatist in China, during the War of Resistance Against Japan. It was completed in 1944 and the opening ceremony of the first drama exhibition in the southwest was held here. In the autumn of 1944, the Japanese army was destroyed by war when they invaded Xianggui. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the original site was rebuilt in 1946. The Guangxi Provincial Art Museum was an art institution established by a group of progressive cultural figures gathered in Guilin during the War of Resistance Against Japan, which played a positive role in promoting the art of drama, art, music and other arts in Guangxi. It is "the first professional theater in China" and is known as "the first great building in the history of Chinese drama". When I left Guilin the next day, I dragged my suitcase and walked past the Guangxi Provincial Art Museum to visit. Unfortunately, it was still early and there was no opening. Only enjoy the sidewalk outside the wall. This building with the characteristics of the Republic of China architecture style, the jujube red exterior wall, the heavy and complicated window sill, everywhere show its unique artistic charm.
