Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is a key project determined by the Hainan Provincial People's Government in 2009. It will be built into a multi-functional comprehensive area integrating conference, exhibition, hotel, large-scale commercial and residential areas.

Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is located on the west coast of Haikou City, is the largest convention and exhibition center in Hainan Province. The original site is Tropical Ocean World (closed in 2004), and there are five-star hotels on both sides. Haikou Marriott, Shangri-La, Sheraton hotels are all nearby.
