The Honolulu Harbor is in the heart of downtown Honolulu, so unless you are used to big city life, cruising around this area might be a bit hectic. However, there are many establishments around that are very much worth visiting if you plan it out in advance. Restaurants covering wide ranges of cuisines and quality can be found lining this bustling waterfront. Visitors to Oahu arriving via cruise ship will be familiar with the area and the iconic Aloha Tower, since nearly every major such vessel drops anchor here for a day or so while in Hawaii. Though not exactly what one might expect from a Hawaii waterfront (there are no sandy beaches here) the Honolulu Harbor has an interesting history and is a great place to find some of the islands most high quality and diverse restaurants and shopping boutiques.
