The church is said to be built entirely on donations. Every year, up to 14,000 visitors come to participate in the church's activities, which also include cafes and accommodation rooms. The church itself is very distinctive, the cross behind the altar is made of an ancient tree with a 420-year-old ring, and the red and gray pine branches above the altar symbolize the Northern Lights.
