Li Qingquan Villa Review

Li Qingquan (1889 - 1942), originally from Jinjing Town, Jinjiang, came to Manila with his father in his early years. He was the king of Philippine timber. Located at the foot of the flag-raising mountain, Li Qingquan Villa is a three-storey villa which combines Chinese and Western culture. It was built in 1926. Because the Li family is rich in timber, the materials of villas are all made of precious timber such as Chinan. As soon as you enter the gate of the villa, the rockery Pavilion stands on both sides, surrounded by the villa garden; in the garden, the precious Chinese fir, European-style fountain, the path is paved with colorful granite pebbles. Villa according to the mountains and the sea, the use of high Roman columns; cylindrical axe grooves, the pillars are mostly Ionic, solemn and dignified, quite graceful. The exterior wall is made of clear water red brick with close joints, which is uniform and beautiful. Doors and windows are equipped with louvers and double glass. There are suites on each floor, and the lobby on the third floor is spacious enough to hold dances. The villa is situated on the mountainside and has a very high and sublime situation.
