The Broken Bridge is a different part of the Weat Lake away from the tourist section. Much more calm and peaceful on the weekends.

烟雨濛濛中的断桥美景—— 五一假期第一天，天色阴沉沉的，空中乌云密布，小雨已经开始落下，时紧时缓。西湖周边的交通已经进入整体拥堵的状态，不得已提前一个路口下车再步行几百米到达湖边。还好，远远望去虽然断桥之上已是人头攒动，但预想中人山人海的景象并没有出现，之前甚至已经做好了预案，如果断桥上出现之前在网上看到过那种水泄不通的场面，那就干脆从湖北岸沿湖而行，隔水观望断桥和白堤就好了，不过很幸运那种情况没有发生，断桥还是可以走的。 虽然人群都在向断桥方向集结，但是断桥上的人流量居然并没有达到饱和的状态，因为有很多工作人员在努力疏导，而且隔开了双向路线，“导流”很高效。于是如愿以偿过了断桥，又走了白堤和苏堤，“晴西湖不如雨西湖”，烟雨濛濛中的西湖真的好美啊！当然现在西湖没有人山人海也有天气的原因，雨天肯定会“劝退”一些游客，还能迫使身处景区的游客加快脚步，所以就很难形成人山人海的景象。另外多数游客会安排假期第一天也就是今天才出发，所以大批游客现在应该还在路上呢，等他们到齐了西湖才会真正“热闹”起来吧。 游客并不密集，断桥和白堤上还不断有观光车经过，然而我觉得只有步行徜徉在湖岸边，才能真正细细地观赏西湖，看湖中悠闲游过的的鸳鸯，听波浪拍打湖岸的声音，眺望北岸的保俶塔和南岸的雷峰塔还有西边不远处的苏堤，西湖美景果然令人心旷神怡，身处其中无法自拔。
